Arvo Saarela’s (1911-1982) jewelry designs are modern and geometric, often with organic influences, all made with the greatest attention to detail. Saarela came to Sweden as a refugee during World War II, and lived and worked in Sweden until his death in 1982.
He settled in Enköping and set up a small workshop in the garage of his house. From there, he made his jewelry by hand with the assistance of his wife Mai, whose initial is included in his hallmark.
