About the artist: Liisa Vitali was one of Finland’s most important goldsmiths, whose progressive and sensual approach to jewelry making strongly contributed to Finnish jewelry becoming world renowned in the 1960s and 1970s. Vitali is best known for her beautiful ”Ladybird” and ”Lace” series. Vitali’s artistic style is a unique, beautiful representation of the Finnish modernist jewelry that emerged in the early 1960s, inspired by Scandinavian jewelry and Finnish folklore.
